The small wooden tower stands right on the water. From the top, you can get a good view of the lake. I think it's a good spot for a short break. The Gartov observation tower is very easy to reach on foot or by bike.

A great, quiet place with deck chairs on the Elbe, a restaurant and kiosk that is open at weekends and, especially, the possibility of staying overnight in the Hütten Hotel, really in small houses with everything you need, highly recommended and idyllic in a place steeped in history.

Woodhenge, located north of Amesbury and named after Stonehenge, just 2 miles to the southwest, was probably built around 2340 BC. BC, i.e. in front of Stonehenge.
