Even though the bridge is currently closed on one side, it's worth a visit for people with a passion for industrial heritage.

Schede Manor, also known as Schede House, is a historic aristocratic estate in Herdecke, Westphalia, with a long history dating back to the 9th century. It is situated on a hill in the Ardey Hills overlooking the Ruhr River. The estate has been owned by the prominent industrialist family Harkort since the 18th century.

Above Lake Harkort, this wonderful forest path leads along the edge of the steep cliff at Frauenwiese. In some sections, there is no safety barrier, so caution is advised. The path offers spectacular panoramic views across the Ruhr Valley to the Sauerland region.

The view of Wetter (Ruhr) and the Kaisbergaue offers a picturesque combination of historic city scenery and protected nature.

Adventurous treetop courses with zip lines and obstacles – fun for all ages!

The avenue unfolds its special charm especially in spring and autumn – perfect for a stroll with a view of the castle and the surrounding nature.

The climb was worth it 👍 Beautiful tower... I would have loved to climb it! The view from the top is definitely amazing. You can definitely see the tower and get your bearings easily.
