I was particularly impressed by the comparatively large St. Nicholas Church, which, together with the rectory and the castle behind it, forms a harmonious ensemble on a hilltop. The small hall church was built in 1834 from fieldstones and corresponds to Schinkel's standard church design in neoclassical style, complemented by an added tower.

The church was built of rubble stone in 1834/35 and extended in 1913. Its architecture is attributed to the Neoclassical style and it is also listed as a historical monument.

take the route on the other side of the lake, much more scenic. Can be bumpy though. Not recommended when there is ice and snow

The wooden plank walkway is beautifully designed for a walk.

Walking on water once - that's something

A beautifully landscaped circular path around the lake. Alternatively, you can take the small train back on the other side. Hiking is also possible without any problems.
