From the bridge, one has a magnificent view over the Kirchsee on one side and the Lanker See on the other... Behind the Kirchsee, the church tower of the town church rises, visible from afar.

From the World War memorial there is a beautiful view down to the Schwentine river, which is somewhat wider here... you can often see small rowing boats on it.

Highland cattle are a very robust, undemanding breed of cattle, ideally suited for year-round outdoor grazing on extensively managed grassland and nature reserves. In extensive grassland management and landscape conservation programs, the breed's characteristic hardiness and undemanding nature are therefore of particular ecological importance.

Schleswig-Holstein's Oldest Estate "Wahlstorf Estate is a unique oasis where East and West meet in magical nature." Located in the beautiful Holstein Switzerland region, Wahlstorf Estate is one of the oldest estates in Schleswig-Holstein and a rare, well-preserved example of a 16th-century estate. With its late medieval architectural style, it is of architectural significance. The listed estate now includes the manor house, three historic barns, and a horse stable. This is where explorer, ornithologist, zoologist, film producer, painter, and writer Victor Baron von Plessen (1900-1980) lived. He embarked on numerous expeditions to the Malay Archipelago from 1924 to 1938. Wahlstorf Estate, its inventory, and the East Asian collection of Victor Baron von Plessen are now owned by the Plessen Foundation Wahlstorf. The agricultural holding of approximately 900 hectares is managed by the Gut Wahlstorf Foundation.

This bridge crosses the Schwentine River, which flows from Lake Lanker to Lake Kirchsee. From here, I have a view of Lake Kirchsee all the way to the town church and, on the other side, towards Lake Lanker. From here, you can observe various water sports enthusiasts, as well as geese, seagulls, and ducks. The Way of St. James, the E1, and the Schuster Acht all run along here.

Right at the junction of Lake Kirchsee and Lake Lanker, through which the Schwentine River flows on its way from the Bungsberg to its mouth in the Kiel Fjord, there is a bridge and a small bay in front of it with sun loungers and benches for relaxing. From there, you have a view over Lake Kirchsee all the way to the town church. The bridge leads to the other shore, where you can continue walking along Lake Kirchsee to the town church. There are also hiking and cycling trails that continue to the Lanker See swimming pool or along the Schuster Acht. It is also possible to climb the Wehrberg, which houses a memorial to those killed in World War I.
