The Schulsee is located near Mölln's old town, has a maximum depth of approximately 5 meters and a rather soft bottom. Tributaries come from the Hegesee and the Mühlenteich. The shores are largely built up and therefore not suitable for fishing. Only on the north side are a few designated shore fishing spots. It is home to virtually all native fish species. However, it is mainly valued by Mölln anglers for its above-average eel population. The "Luisenbad" public swimming pool is located on the northeast shore of the lake.
