The Grenzwald Schnaps Museum – the old distillery of Otto Ficker GmbH in Crottendorf in the Ore Mountains – offers a unique experience of traditional herbal distillation. The entire production process is documented in this technical museum. High-quality herbal extracts are still produced using some of the historical equipment. The museum and small shop are open during the hours listed below. Here you can taste and purchase everything. Here, on October 17, 1846, a traveling puppeteer was murdered and robbed. The murderer was apprehended and sentenced to 40 years in prison. The victim was buried in a pauper's grave in the Neudorf cemetery.
