Fuschl Castle is picturesquely situated on the western shore of Lake Fuschl in the Salzkammergut region and was built around 1450 as a hunting lodge for the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg. The historic building has subsequently served various purposes, including as a backdrop for film productions, including the Sissi films. Today, the castle houses a luxurious hotel with its own spa and golf course.

A very nice hike with a stop at the castle fishery. Very friendly staff and truly delicious wild-caught fish to eat. I'll definitely be back.🌞🌞🌞😚😚
