Stone House Lake is situated amongst beautiful lawns, mature trees and plant beds. It is right next to a car park and also located along the Greenbelt Trail. There is a picnic area and public toilets near the lake.

This parking lot at the top of the dam has picnic tables and trash cans, but the biggest attraction is the view. From here you have a 360-degree view of the mountains, Downtown Denver, Castle Rock, and often a hot air balloon. If you are looking to add some speed into your ride, the Groove Subaru Team ride starts here every Saturday at 8:30am sharp. Pace is unusually 25-30mph and takes around 1.5hrs .

Cottonwood Creek runs out of Cherry Creek Reservoir and continues south. You cross the creek on several occasions on bridges while following the bike path.

Grant-Frontier Park sits right on the South Platte River and is the site of the old Montana City, built in the 1850s. Today, visitors can find paved trails, playgrounds, restrooms, and benches.

The South Platte River is one of the two main tributaries of the Platte River. The river starts in South Park and ends when it joins the North Platte River south of Ogallala, Nebraska.

Washington Park, in Denver, Colorado, is a 155-acre urban park that features two lakes, Smith Lake and Grasmere Lake, and a 2.6-mile jogging and biking loop as well as connecting trails to other major bike paths in the area. There are also open green spaces, and well-maintained flower gardens, including a replica of George Washington’s Mount Vernon garden. Additional facilities include tennis courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas, and the historic boathouse by Smith Lake that serves as a popular venue for events.

Denver Flagship store is located in the restored 1901 Denver Tramway building. Enjoy the trains out front or grab a refreshment in the attached Starbucks. Inside the Starbucks is a bottle refill station.
