The Poortgebouw (German: Gate Building) is the former headquarters of the Rotterdam Trade Association and is now a Dutch Rijksmonument.

Until 1969, the former Barendrecht Bridge over the Oude Maas River connected the island of IJsselmonde with the Hoeksche Waard. The old access road with two toll/bridge keeper's houses is still present. The houses were built in 1888 and are designated municipal monuments. One house is used as a radar station by the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat). The other house has been empty for years. Huys ten Donck is a monumental country house dating from 1746, located in Ridderkerk, South Holland. It is surrounded by a beautiful 18th-century park in the English landscape style. The house is still privately occupied by descendants of the original family and is occasionally open for tours, events, and weddings. The estate is also popular for walking in the green surroundings.

The Jewish Children's Monument in Rotterdam commemorates the 686 Jewish children (ages 0–12) who were deported from Loods24 and perished in 1942–1943. The monument consists of a stainless steel arch bearing the names and ages of these children and is located near the old wall of Loods24 on the Kop van Zuid. It was unveiled in 2013 and has since been incorporated into educational projects and annual commemorations. In 2022, the artwork "Levens 10,000 stenen" (Lives 10,000 Stones) was added, commemorating all 10,000 Jews deported from Rotterdam.

The Erasmus Bridge is a striking cable-stayed bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam, opened in 1996. With its characteristic asymmetrical pylon of 139 meters high, the bridge is an architectural icon and important link between the northern and southern parts of the city. The bridge was designed by Ben van Berkel and is frequently used for traffic, events and image formation of the city.
