Great idea. You often find such stone pyramids on beaches with relatively large stones.

Magnificent view over the old vineyards to the Bavarian/Baden Main valley with the Odenwald and the Tremhof.

beautifully situated on the shore

A lovely rest stop near Collenberg, located directly on the Main Cycle Path. When the sun is in the right position, especially in the afternoon, it should be in the shade.

At the crossroads, there's a small Marian grotto with benches. The grotto looks quite new and was probably built privately.

I completely agree. The Nibelungensteig is truly a stunningly beautiful hiking trail. While I haven't completed all of its stages yet, I've visited some truly stunningly beautiful towns and forests along the way. Even though the Nibelungensteig does have quite a few ups and downs, the journey and the effort along the way are sure to be rewarded.
