The castle sits enthroned on a steep rocky outcrop on the Zschopau River and is considered the most beautiful knight's castle in Saxony.

Coming from Erlenbach or Falkenhain, the route initially goes slightly downhill. Past the former Lochmühle, after a bridge, it climbs briefly at 10%. Before the bend, it levels out again slightly before rising to 15-17% after the bend until you come out of the forest. After that, it flattens out a bit before rising to 10% shortly before entering Ehrenberg. Always sprint on the last stretch to the village entrance.

In summer, it's a great way to go swimming for free. Please always take your rubbish with you so that the bathing area can be preserved for a long time!
