The Foresthill Bridge, spanning 2,428 feet over the North Fork American River, holds the title of the tallest bridge in California. Does it look familiar? Movie buffs might recognize it from Xander Cage's parachute jump in "XXX" and John Travolta's 1996 blockbuster "Phenomenon."

Two trail loops, the North and the Interpretative Loop, at the east of Miners Ravine creek, with a large Trailhead parking off Auborn Road.

A little east parallel and between road and the the Shirland Canal Trail, Pioneer Express has excellent views into American River Canyon.

Dry Creek has a total length of 15 miles and runs through Placer County, California. There are many paved sections leading along the river, and you will find plenty of parks and green spaces. One of them is the here marked Saugstad Park.

Two loop trails on either side of the parking area, the North Trail Loop and the Interpretive Trail on the south side, explore the area along Miner's Ravine, which runs just northwest of the Trailhead.

Good overlook and starting point for hikes along the crest or down into the trail system on the west bank of the American River canyon.

Folsom Lake is at the base of the beautiful Sierra foothills. The lake offers a variety of activities from hiking and camping to boating and water-skiing. Please note, there's not much shade on most of the trails around the lake, so come prepared with lots of water and sunscreen.
