Very nice. It looks so much better than it did years ago.

It is documented from the 10th century, but the current building was rebuilt in 1574 with a mixture of late Gothic and Renaissance styles. Its portal with reliefs and the large rose window added in 1902 are noteworthy. It is a single-nave church with side chapels and a ribbed vault. It has been restored several times and is protected as part of Catalonia's architectural heritage. What is interesting is that it reflects centuries of local transformations in a single facade.

An ancient watchtower with a Roman base and medieval structure, perched at an altitude of 416 meters, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and the Vallès region. Built to monitor roads and warn of dangers, it was converted into a hunting lodge in 1906, with the addition of a kitchen and bedrooms. Later, it fell into disrepair, was vandalized, and was restored in 2011. Today, it is open to the public and a popular stop for cyclists due to its strategic location, shade, and natural viewpoint. The base retains Roman ashlar blocks, making it an archaeological rarity in the heart of the mountains.

Located about 6 km from Llinars del Vallès and at an altitude of 406 meters, the hermitage of Sant Sebastià offers beautiful views, shade, and a picnic area, making it an ideal stop along the way. Documented since 1640, it lay in ruins until 2016 when a group of volunteers began its reconstruction, which was faithfully completed in 2018. The hermitage, measuring 10 x 5 meters, was notable for its bell gable, voussoir archway, and granite blocks. Traditionally, gatherings were held there in honor of Saint Sebastian, protector against the plague and storms. Small stones found in the surrounding area were believed to bring good luck and protection.

More than just a place where people lived, this site stands out because it doesn't quite fit the classic settlement pattern of the area. Its location, nestled between rock and forest, suggests it wasn't a permanent settlement, but rather a site used at very specific times: seasonal migrations, hunting trips, or gatherings of small groups. A unique feature is that the remains of highly fragmented occupations have been documented at this location, suggesting it was a "ritual passage" rather than a long-term encampment. Some scholars even propose that its irregular layout among the rocks could indicate symbolic activities or territorial markers, something uncommon in other sites in the area.

The true epicenter of Maresme enduro. Once you reach the top, it's time to switch gears: you're at the highest point of the system, and a labyrinth of trails and tracks of all levels unfolds before you. There are no rules here: from this central hub, you can drop down towards Sant Vicenç, Llavaneres, Can Boada, Massuet, or wherever your heart desires. Every direction offers a different descent, and all connect to legendary Maresme lines. A word of advice: when you reach Turó de l’Oriola, take a deep breath… and prepare to go wild, because this is one of the few places where you can literally ride down wherever you want.
