このトレイルはラウエルソーグMTBルートの一部で、岸辺を自転車で走り、自然環境で草を食む動物やその他の動物を観察することができます。道の反対側からは、新しいアザラシの入り江、美しい水辺の風景を眺めることができます。このルートは緑豊かな自然の小道を蛇行し、ラウエルソーグの森を横切ります。

Lauwersoogbosには、マウンテンバイカー、グラベルバイカー、ハイカー向けのさまざまな美しいトレイルがあります。小道は森の中を蛇行し、開けた場所や小さな森林地帯を通り抜けます。

Dokkum's town hall is located on the Zijl, the former sea lock, and was built between 1607 and 1610. It features a beautiful carillon.

Installed as part of the art project "Hidden Past" following the redevelopment of Dokkum's city center. The cast-iron shell-like shape features the contours of the old city walls. The city's coat of arms, with moon and stars, is depicted in the stainless steel countershape. Sunlight shines through the shell's cutout, forming a kind of sundial inside the cast-iron shape.

The turning point of the Eleven Cities Tour is in Dokkum, the northernmost city in Friesland. After completing their mark on the waters of the Zijl River, the skaters return from here to Leeuwarden, the start and finish location.

The Dokkumer Grootdiep is a former estuary that extended all the way to Dokkum, providing the city with a direct connection to the sea. It used to be the link between the city of Dokkum and the open sea, and now serves as a vital part of the shipping route to Lauwersmeer lake via the Súd Ie.

Dokkum is a place of pilgrimage and, because of its connection to the sea via the canals, also a former trading town. Today it is a tourist destination with many lovely places to stop and rest, but also many highlights for interested visitors.
