The Pinilla reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Lozoya River, in the north of the Community of Madrid (Spain). Located in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama, it has been the head reservoir of the basin since the moment it was inaugurated in 1967. It is part of the Canal de Isabel II network, a company that supplies drinking water to the capital of Spain and a good part of of the Community of Madrid.

This is a good place to cross. Depending on the time of year, there is more or less water here. The view of the reservoir is also quite nice.

The viewpoint has incredible views, not only of the reservoir but also of Guadarrama and Peñalara in the background. A quiet place, full of peace, and a good place to rest.

On the side of the road is this panoramic point that offers us one of the best views of the Pinilla reservoir and the town of Lozoya. Following the same path, you can go around the reservoir completely, a very quiet path without difficulty that, depending on the time of year, offers unique and very picturesque landscapes.
