Reconquest: In 1085, it fell into Christian hands and became an important commercial center under the Archbishopric of Toledo. The Apse of the Miracles, also known as El Morabito, is one of the most emblematic monuments of Talamanca del Jarama and a jewel of Castilian-Leonese Romanesque-Mudéjar architecture.
