Lovely cafe serving a good variety of coffee, cake, breakfast and lunch. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Gentle hill climb, good view of the Castle and a nice coffee and cake at the cafe Little shops nice to look round too

Good service and plenty of space (especially outdoors). Great cycling area!

Stopped here for a cold drink and spot of lunch from the Deli which has an amazing array of locally sourced and produced stock, with some nice unusual items and a small indoor seating area for eating in. Next door there is The Buttery which is a great traditional tea room with table service and a wide range of food and drinks available. There is also a quirky antiques shop, worth a look if for nothing more than the unusual musical boxes and clocks on sale, but i'm sure you could find something there as it's such an eclectic mix of vintage, retro and kitsch. Limeblue sells gifts, jewellery and leather goods, so perfect for picking up a gift or memento on a ride. Tredders is a footware specialist and sell a range of high quality footware, there are also other shops specialising in clothing, furniture, soft furnishings and decorative items. So all in all a great little place to stop on a ride and have an explore but make sure you have some money as I doubt you will want to walk away empty handed (or empty bellied!)
