So much birdlife in this area which Jan helps to nurture from her home at Loch Ossian hostel. Jan offers a safe haven in this wild and remote place (for birds and humans alike!)

The station, known from the film Trainspotting, is one of the smallest and most remote stations in Europe and is served by the railway line from Fort William, among others. In the station building there is a restaurant which offers hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and hot snacks.

End of day 1 of an attempt at the Badger Divide

Look towards the trees to find a boulder with a plaque for Angus Rodden, born 17 June 1941. I couldn’t find out who he was, but there is a nice flat tentsite just behind the boulder with a great view.

Corrour Station lies at the foot of Leum Uilleim and Beinn a‘ Bhric in a picturesque landscape. The train station is - despite its remoteness - a popular start for outdoor activities. There is a restaurant with hot meals and delicious cakes, snacks and souvenirs. It also offers free WiFi.
