Pico del Cielo is an impressive peak located in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama Natural Park, near Nerja. The route is approximately 20 km (round trip) and can take between 6 and 7 hours to complete. It's a challenging hike in terms of endurance, but technically easy.

To get to the cross of the pico del cielo or well known as cuesta del cielo we can do it from the pinarillo area of Nerja or from the Castillejos road.

It is a pity to go through this point and stop to drink water from the fountain and appreciate the old El Macho marble quarry in the Sierra de Competa

Hiking route developed from Puerto Blanquillo to the Pic del Lucero through the Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama. Once at the top we have a kind of wall which is still standing. It was a small barracks of the Benemérita in the days of the makis after the Spanish civil war. The makis are good people.
