The Brod Fortress is a baroque border fortress on the Sava River, and at the same time a category zero monument and landmark of Slavonski Brod that forms its core. In Brod, one of the important strategic and traffic places that supervised the most important crossing on the Sava towards Bosnia and connected the main trade routes, between 1715 and 1780 the great Imperial and royal Slavonian border fortress Brod was built.

Slavonski Brod is a city in eastern Croatia and the industrial, cultural, administrative, judicial and financial center of the Brod-Posavina County. In terms of size, number of inhabitants and importance, it is the second city in Slavonia, and the sixth largest in the Republic of Croatia after Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Zadar. It was declared the most beautiful city in Croatia by the Croatian Tourist Board for 2009.

The fortress "Brod" is near the very center of the city. It is a monument of zero category. Promenades through the city center and along the Sava River, shops and parking spaces are nearby. A guide is also available. The restaurant is open from 9 AM to 9 PM
