Ugglekojan is a small, rustic forest shelter inside Paradiset Nature Reserve — perfect as a backup hut if you’re hiking or camping nearby. It’s usually free to use and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so bring your own sleeping gear and don’t rely on finding it empty. There’s a wood stove inside, but you’ll need to collect your own firewood. The lake and nearby fire pits make it a great spot for a quiet overnight in the woods close to Stockholm.

Here you can find shelter from the wind, along with a picnic area and a fire pit. It’s ideal for a bivouac or a short break.

Besides just parking, there is an outhouse, a water pump, as well as a fireplace and several sets of tables and benches here. It is a good starting point for a lot of trails throughout the Paradiset area.

Provided logs for fire is always available here. You have a shelter right next to water, makes it easy to stay overnight. During the night you may hear barked deers.

Sun spot for fire place. You are right next to the provided 🪵 and a bench to sit by the lake. The lake has an easy access here so a dip would be possible. The fire place has a grill where you can easily grill your sausages or meats. During winter, this spot has sun so it is perfect to sit down and warm up with the sun.
