Miliário da Mitra (Valverde) is a Roman milestone along an old Roman military road which connected Evora (Ebora Liberalitas) to Alcácer do Sal (Salacia) which was probably part of the main Roman route from Lisbon (Olisipo) to Mérida (Augusta Emerita). It is 1.3 metres high and probably dates from the 2nd or 3rd centuries AD.
