This castle is a little insider tip 👌 I also recommend a visit from the inside, the museum has been lovingly restored and the castle café rounds off the visit perfectly.😉 The entrance fee is there to restore and preserve the castle, which is something we like to do to preserve the culture.

The popular Franzl spring is located at the entrance to the Oelsnitzgrund. Clear, clean water bubbles out of it. It tastes good and you can refill your water bottle here. This spring water is said to be of high quality.

This section offers you a great view of the Leuchtenburg castle - one of many historic buildings that you pass on the Saale cycle path.
