塔には、高さ約7メートルの低い門という唯一の入り口しかありません。この門は、再建された城壁通路を通ってアクセスできます。近くのヨハンニストールを通って、エアフルトからアルテンブルクへの古い交易路が通っていました。中世のイェーナの4つの郊外のうちの1つであるヨハンニスフォアシュタットは、この複合施設の前にありました。

1300年頃には、イェーナの市壁は完成に近づき、閉鎖的な防御施設と呼べる状態になっていました。堀、城壁、中庭、3つの城門塔、4つの角の堡塁、そして後から追加された12のシェルタータワーで構成されていました。市壁の北西の角にあるプルファー塔は約20メートルの高さで、4つの階層と歩道があります。再建された城壁の通路、城壁の上の家、そしてヨハンニストールと共に、これらはかつてのイェーナの市壁の最も大きく現存する部分です。

プルファー塔はイェーナの古い市壁の一部です。それは、現在のロイテラーベン/フュルステンクラーベンの交差点にある市壁の北西の角にあります。

The Dothen village church is located in the Dothen district of the town of Schkölen in the Saale-Holzland district of Thuringia. It belongs to the Königshofen parish in the Eisenberg church district of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany. The church's undocumented origins are only evident in the Romanesque part of the church, near the apse and at the south entrance. A fire devastated the church in the 14th/15th centuries.

The first castle complex was built around 900 on the site of a former Slavic settlement. It probably served as an outpost of the royal palace of Dornburg. Renovations and extensions took place in the following centuries. The outer walls visible today, with their four towers, date from the 16th century.
