Great bike path between Ebensfeld and Unterleiterbach on the former B 173. The entrance via the roundabout near Ebensfeld isn't ideal in my opinion. That's why I always drive through the roundabout with cars and only then onto the bike path. The bike path is better in the other direction. Further west, there's a nice right/left chicane to keep you from falling asleep. 😊

There is a caravan site not far from the bridge, so you can also go on long hikes in the Mainauen.

There is a small campsite on its banks.

Schönex's old sandstone bridge. Unfortunately, the view of it is obstructed by the new bridge located directly next to it.

Well-developed. Great for riding with a dog trailer.

Next to the old bridge for traffic, a pedestrian bridge was built, from which you can easily inspect the stone bridge

The Baunach River flows into the Main shortly after Baunach, as does the Ilz River. This beautiful little town, with its many well-preserved historic buildings, has a lovely atmosphere.

In my opinion, the glass casing obstructs the view of the statue and is rather irritating. The sandstone is probably just too porous, and they don't want to have to renovate it again in a few years. I think a roof without side walls, in the pavilion style, would be more advantageous.
