The historic town of Baunach was first mentioned in 802 and is therefore over 1200 years old. Located in the Haßberge nature park and not far from Bamberg, it offers visitors a number of historical buildings. The town is not uninteresting for hikers, as it offers a wide network of attractive hiking trails. So I would like to mention the Seven Rivers Hiking Trail or the Jakobusweg (section Lichtenfels-Nuremberg), as well as the castle and castle hiking trail.
