Remains of an old medieval castle located on a hill with magnificent views over the Cardener valley and the Sant Ponç reservoir. The stones preserve the shape of the walls and evoke the strength of a feudal past. The surroundings are peaceful and full of charm, ideal for a short stop. By mountain bike, you can get there by a track with a gentle slope but with some eroded sections; on the way down, the loose soil can be a problem. Tip: lower the tire pressure and take advantage of the viewpoint to take a photo - the panoramic views are great.

A highly recommended old town to walk around and sit on a terrace to recharge your batteries after a very demanding stage of the TdL.

We recommend a pizza at Pizzeria la Familia, a crepe at the Moncrep creperie or a cake at the Can Massana patisserie.

Playa Mayor, located in the historic center of Solsona, hosts the main festivals of the town. In addition, on Tuesdays and Fridays it becomes the center of activity, establishing a weekly market here in which fresh vegetables abound.

Interesting Plaça Major as you enter through the Porta del Ponte as the whole square is downhill and ramping along the coast of the hill.

Interesting city cemetery located on the hill north of the city. It can be reached via a marked path.

Solsona is the capital of the Solsonès region, at the foot of the Pre-Pyrenees, before entering the great continental mountain range. Solsona is an ancient city, where the first vestiges are found before the Iberian populations.
