The remains of this fortification date from the 10th century, when the municipality was created, and it has been the protagonist of various historical episodes: its destruction in 1003 after a Saracen attack, the siege in the 15th century during the Catalan civil war, or in the 15th century. XVII, during the Guerra dels Segadors, in which the French troops defeated the Castilians in this same place. It was from this fact that a process of plunder began that lasted for centuries. The rectangular tower of the castle is not preserved and only some walls remain.

The passage of this small torrent is saved with a precarious metal plate, it is not very difficult, but after crossing it, the path makes a sharp turn to the right and as a precaution, I recommend dismounting from the bicycle and walking.
