The old Tajuña railway bridge over the Jarama river in La Poveda has been restored and conditioned for pedestrian access. The work, completed in February 2022, facilitates the passage of pedestrians and cyclists between Rivas-Vaciamadrid and Arganda del Rey. This structure was destroyed during the civil war and later rebuilt. It was in operation until 1997 and today it only supports the tourist railway between Laguna del Campillo and La Poveda station, which operates from October to December.
