Beautiful church in this small village.

The sight of military cemeteries is always very sad, but we must not forget history.

This large German war cemetery is located near the Fort de La Malmaison, along the Chemin des Dames. It was created in 1941 by the Wehrmacht to centralise scattered graves from the Aisne region. After the war, the site was officially recognised by a Franco-German convention in 1954 and inaugurated in 1965. It is the resting place of almost 11,850 German soldiers, mainly those who died during the 1940 campaign and the fighting following the Allied landings in Normandy in 1944. Between 1960 and 1961, more than 6,800 bodies were reburied from six surrounding departments. The cemetery is sober and serene, with rows of dark crosses and a memorial stone. It is a silent reminder of the fierce fighting in this region and is an important stop on the remembrance routes along the Chemin des Dames.

Located along the Chemin des Dames, this monument commemorates the Régiment d’Infanterie Coloniale du Maroc, which fought heavily in the region during the Battle of La Malmaison in October 1917. It honours the commitment and sacrifice of Moroccan troops within the French army during WWI 1.

The Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Noyon is an impressive Gothic building in the heart of Noyon, in the Oise department. Built between 1145 and 1235, the cathedral is a major religious and cultural monument. It exemplifies the transition from Romanesque to Gothic architecture. The cathedral is 103.11 meters long (exterior) and 91.33 meters (interior), with a nave height of 22.73 meters. The interior is richly decorated with works of art and features a magnificent Merklin organ from 1898. The cathedral also has a Louis XVI-style high altar.

Built on a hillock, the Coucy castle offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
