ポンピニャンのおすすめウォーキング＆ハイキングルート

Two caves, only a few dozen meters apart. The lower one, by the side of the path, is well fenced. Still, caution is advised. It's a P8 cave, if I remember correctly, which leads to the underground spring, but doesn't go very far; it quickly becomes impenetrable. The one above, marked by a sort of low wall and a small plateau, is deeper (10m) and poorly protected! You can certainly progress several dozen meters, if you're an experienced caver! However, it's of little, if any, interest.

The triangular archway entrance holds some beautiful secrets! Be warned, do not venture in without any prior knowledge; it is often filled with water, and the cave system is active. The cave system is primarily intended for divers, as it begins with a siphon at -1 meter. In the summer, it is possible to visit with a mask and snorkel, and a good wetsuit, as the water is quite shallow. But be warned, this is reserved for experienced divers only!

A beautiful waterfall, even if it's not very active. However, when the nearby spring and vent get going, it can quickly become quite a waterfall! A lovely spot, but one that does present some dangers, especially if you have children. There's a safer path than others, which avoids walking along a very narrow cliff! The spring and vent, as well as the few caves nearby, are worth seeing, but be careful not to get too curious!

A cave that isn't really a cave! It's clearly a natural cave, but very short (4m). A quick crossing that requires no equipment 😂 Nice to see, but rather disappointed; I was expecting a "real" cavern.

Along this trail, you'll find various cairns. Small ones, medium ones, and very large ones! The trail is pleasant, well-maintained, easy, and well worth the effort, even if it's over in about an hour.

Second sinkhole of the Dolmen. A slightly larger sinkhole than the first, but it doesn't seem very accessible. Nice to see, but be careful not to fall in. There's a barbed wire fence leading to it. Follow the wire; at one point it's slack (that's how it was, don't damage it further).

Two sinkholes separated by only a few meters. One is accessible, the other completely inaccessible. Nice to see...

A very nice walk, pleasant and not too difficult. I had my daughter with me, who was very brave for her first time after major health problems. Bravo, my darling.
