Exceptional site at the foot of the Dent de Crolle with access via a wild forest road

Small pedestrian crossing on the GR7

Perched at 1,434 meters, the Col du Coq is accessible after a twelve-kilometer climb regardless of the direction of the road taken. It offers a beautiful view of the Dent de Crolles.

A pass with little crowds (end of April 2024). The road is open despite the signs (no snow removal). The bitumen is correct, average in places (mounted in Gravel). A few very steep slopes with a small flat area which allows you to breathe on the Charteuse side. No infrastructure at the top. Road and bitumen in good condition on the St-Pacrasse side.

This is a very beautiful single from the Manival at the forest hut. Both uphill and downhill, the trail is very fun!

Nice little descent to learn how to position the front wheel correctly, while being careful on certain sections to ensure that the child does not pick up too much speed or panic (risk of falling on the left of around 3m at certain locations).

The climb to the Col du Coq is not interesting for mountain biking but it is often necessary to go from the Col de Baure to the Plateau de l'Emeindras to continue on the trails towards Sappey, Chamechaude or Saint Eynard or to go to the Col de la Feïta, or even switch to Saint Hugues...

Very nice descent on the mountainside. Peaceful single with a gentle slope. But the pins nevertheless remain technical
