The Château de Villandry is a beautiful Renaissance castle that was inspired by the gardening art of the 16th century. There are ornamental gardens, fruit and vegetable gardens, a water garden and medicinal herb beds. The entire site is about 5 hectares in size. There is also a sun garden and a labyrinth. There are a total of 52 km of box hedges in the gardens.

Beautiful village on the river Le Cher. A little further on it flows into La Loire. In the bend of the cycle route to the village, there is a nice rest area at the campsite with benches and the possibility for refreshments and drinks.

This rural section of the Loire à Vélo is very popular with walkers and cyclists alike. Alternative to the GR 3, it allows you to follow the Cher for a few kilometers between Villandry and Savonnières.
