According to ancient tradition, a procession takes place every year in honor of Saint Fleuret (Fleuregius), in which the bust and the reliquary are solemnly carried around.

The Renaissance building was constructed in 1572 by order of the "noble Bernardin de la Valette," who was tasked by the consuls with the defense of Espalion during the Wars of Religion. Today it is an artists' residence with temporary exhibitions.

Here you can appreciate the mix of Romanesque and Gothic elements of the Saint-Fleuret church, which reflects its long history of construction and renovation. The long steps leading up to the church only add to the grandeur of this impressive place of worship.
