Passage through the Normandy countryside! Small village inland.

Beautiful mill, super nice

The column commemorates the departure of William, Duke of Normandy, at the Battle of Hastings. In 1861, Arcisse de Caumont inaugurated it in the property of Count Foucher de Careil. The last watermill in the region, the Moulin Landry is a former flour mill transformed into a neo-Norman mansion in the 19th century (1851). It still remains as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The building is clearly visible through the well-kept gardens with century-old trees.

A place steeped in history: from Dives, the Norman king Guillaume le Conquérant transferred his fleet to England in 1066.
