The town of Kurort Oberwiesenthal can take advantage of some interesting funding programs for numerous non-profit and investment projects. Especially in the border area with the Czech Republic, this offers opportunities to further connect and harmonize the diversity of our mountain region. One example of this is the Mill Cycle Path. Not only does it run off the B95, but also because its unique location along the border with/through the Czech Republic makes this a successful project that also contributes to good neighborly relations.

From here you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the region. Germany's highest town is located directly on the Czech border at an altitude of 915 meters. Nestled in the beautiful Ore Mountains landscape, Oberwiesenthal is an important place for winter sports in Saxony. In addition to ski slopes and ski jumps, you will also find numerous hiking trails on which you can explore the great landscape in the summer months.

It's simply wonderful to linger here for a while. Here at Felseneck you can take a wonderful break and listen to the rippling water flowing through the Schwarzbach valley.

EU funding well spent. A cycle path away from the B 95 between the Unterwiesenthal train station and the border crossing in lower Oberwiesenthal. On the cycle path, you don't even notice when you cross the border.
