Beautiful hotel.

The fish hall, a must for fish lovers.

The prestigious Normandy Barrière hotel is Deauville's first palace (1912). Note the fake half-timbering and the green color. In honor of its centenary, it has undergone a rejuvenation treatment. (Michelin) Villa Camélia, one of the oldest in Deauville, with numerous bay windows and typical Northern European gables. The famous Villa Mes Abeilles was designed by Auguste Bluysen, architect of Le Grand Rex in Paris, on behalf of couturier Irène Paquin. The architect combined ceramic roof pylons, flat Norman roof tiles, half-timbering and Art Nouveau elements of concrete Villa Suzanne: Note the bas-reliefs Villa Grisélidis: 1871 with strips of colored bricks, bay windows and a roof with top ornaments

Best place in Normandy to eat seafood!

The fish hall was built in 1936 and has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as a monument historique since 1992. The reinforced concrete hall (like the train station) was clad with a blind framework so that it looks like a typical building in the region. A beautiful building, now with numerous stalls facing the street. There you can taste oysters and shellfish or the famous fish soup based on Jeannette's recipe with a drink. You have to bring your own bread, but a bakery is never far in France.

Deauville owes its worldwide fame to the luxurious buildings and furnishings and to the stylish events. Throughout the year, but especially in summer, the calendar is full of festivities. At the beginning of September, Deaville turns into a Hollywood suburb every year thanks to the festival du cinéma Americain. "Les Planches" by the sea were immortalized in Claude Lelouch's film Un homme et une femme (Golden Palm in 1966), starring Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant. (Michelin)
