Monumental casino right on the beach.

Designed by the architect Alexandre Durville in 1912, the Casino Barrière in Trouville-sur-Mer offers slot machines, table games, a “poker room”, but also restaurants, bars and performance halls. A little history… The games were authorized in Trouville-sur-Mer from 1808 in order to offer an additional activity to rich Parisian families who came for the virtue of sea bathing. Since then, three casinos have followed one another: - The “Salon des Bains” opened in 1838 in place of the current Trouville Palace - The “Casino Salon” in 1845, built in place of the current Hôtel Flaubert. - The current casino built in 1912 was designed by the architect Durville. Until the Casino Barrière Trouville was built, Trouville was a sleepy fishing village in the shadow of the planned city of Deauville. Today it offers 240 slot machines, Boules 2000, Black Jack, English and French Roulette, Stud Poker, Texas Hold'em Poker, 2 bars and a restaurant with a sea view. Or you can look at it from the outside and enjoy the beach.

The prestigious Normandy Barrière hotel is Deauville's first palace (1912). Note the fake half-timbering and the green color. In honor of its centenary, it has undergone a rejuvenation treatment. (Michelin) Villa Camélia, one of the oldest in Deauville, with numerous bay windows and typical Northern European gables. The famous Villa Mes Abeilles was designed by Auguste Bluysen, architect of Le Grand Rex in Paris, on behalf of couturier Irène Paquin. The architect combined ceramic roof pylons, flat Norman roof tiles, half-timbering and Art Nouveau elements of concrete Villa Suzanne: Note the bas-reliefs Villa Grisélidis: 1871 with strips of colored bricks, bay windows and a roof with top ornaments
