A very beautiful walking route through the peat bog to understand the specificities of this natural environment. The regional nature reserve is part of the Ramsar site "Lakes and peat bogs of the Jura Massif".

The Cascade de Pissevieille is a magnificent waterfall located in a picturesque natural setting. Its cascading waters create a mesmerizing spectacle as they descend from rocky cliffs, surrounded by lush vegetation. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of this waterfall and the peaceful ambience of its surroundings.

Nestled at the foot of a beautiful mixed forest, the Etival lakes constitute an important wetland for the biodiversity of the Jura massif. A great run with stunning views included.

Fun walk - the part on the boardwalk is about a kilometre. The rest of the walk to/from Prènovel is mainly on nice gravel roads through the hilly countryside.

Lac de la Fauge is located in the heart of a forest in the Jura massif. This small hidden lake is a protected wetland, precious for the biodiversity of the massif. Like the Etival lakes, it offers an ideal stargazing site.

Lying at the foot of a beautiful mixed forest, the Etival lakes represent an important wetland for the biodiversity of the Jura massif. Isolated, and therefore little exposed to light, these lakes make an ideal observation site for watching the stars. Please note that swimming is prohibited.

There are many bogs in the region. These exemplary ecosystems are protected because they are home to unique fauna and flora that have been able to adapt over time to this poor and acidic environment. The Prénovel bog is a magnificent example. Stay well on the wooden walkways so as not to disturb the balance of these fragile wetlands.

The Church of Valfin is a 19th century building. If its bell tower recalls the shape of the Comtois bell towers, it differs in the absence of painted tile mosaics. From the Church, you can also enjoy a pleasant viewpoint, but also a bench, just in front, for a short stop.
