The town hall of Bahlingen, built in half-timbered style, features a baroque memorial stone on the gable end, commemorating the paving of the local streets from 1761 to 1764. On the stepped area in front of it stands a fountain with a sculpture and water feature. Because the town hall stands on the loess slope in the northwest of the historic village, Bahlingen lacks a proper village center. The old half-timbered houses, with their interesting, but mostly inaccessible, large courtyards, are all located to the south, southwest, southeast, and east of the town hall.

The Fohberghütte, located on the 240-meter-high mountain of the same name, is a roofed wooden structure with a seating area protected by wooden walls, equipped with a table and benches. In addition to the view of the village of Bahlingen, it offers magnificent views of the Breisgau region and other villages, and beyond, the striking mountains of the High Black Forest. Nearby is the Bahlingen Water Reservoir, home to the "Mythical Triad" figurine group by the Bahlingen sculptor Michael Schwarze, which is visible from the hut.

It's beautiful there, but a little tip: if you drive up to the left of the town hall, there's a gradient of about 18%, but it's still fun to drive up. As soon as you make it up there, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the valley as you drive through the vineyards. It's really great there.
