The Saint-Rémy church is one of these churches surrounded by their cemetery and a surrounding wall forming a parish enclosure. In the cemetery, a cut boxwood path leads to the entrance to the church which is via a bell tower-porch. The latter, square and low, is topped with a spire covered in slate, like the rest of the church. The sacristy, at the rear of the apse, is covered in tiles. The church consists of a single nave onto which two small chapels open, dedicated respectively to the Sacred Heart and the Virgin. Unpretentious from the outside, the Saint-Rémy church is however not without surprises. The choir, slightly narrower than the nave, is decorated with monumental paintings evoking the Passion of Christ (19th century). The choir vault is also painted. The altarpiece, with black marble columns, has in its center a beautiful high-relief panel representing the Baptism of Christ (limestone, early 18th century). The altars (Main altar and altars in the side chapels) are in pink and black marble (18th century). A choir enclosure, decorated with two angels, separates the choir from the nave (19th century). Two beautiful wooden confessionals with carved pediments (17th century), set into the wall, frame the entrance to the interior of the nave. At the entrance to the bell tower-porch, you can admire the coat of arms of François Bohier, dated 1553. He was the dean of the chapter of Tours on which the cure of Sérigny then depended. These stones were found in 1972, in the gable of the church, during the renovation of the sacristy. The four historic stained glass windows are from the 20th century (one is dated 1939) and obviously come from the same workshop but are not signed.

The Notre-Dame parish church, formerly the presentation of the Saint-Vincent abbey in Le Mans, is a beautiful building measuring 30 m in total length. The various stages of its construction in the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries. took nothing away from its interest. The pointed arch windows which light the choir have partly flamboyant tracery which belongs to the end of the Gothic period. The nave communicates with the aisles via large semi-circular arches. Between the northern side chapels rises the bell tower covered with a gable roof. On the south side there are three side chapels. The nave and the choir have a beautiful exposed framework in the shape of an inverted ship's hull. The current poor state of the roof has led to problems with this framework. The church itself is not protected, but has a high altar, a tabernacle, and an altarpiece from the 17th century. classified as Historic Monuments. A baptistery with its balustrade, also from the 17th century, and a Louis XVI period lectern complete this furniture. For the repair of the roof of the chapels and the north side of the nave, the Safeguarding of French Art granted two grants of 100,000 F in 1992 and 1994.

In the heart of Perche, Bellême, a medieval village, is full of charm. Its location, on a hill, and its proximity to the forest that bears its name, make it a village integrated into the landscape. This of course reinforces its fine reputation.

Among all the villages in the region, Bellême is undoubtedly one of the most charming. No wonder it was the capital of the ancient county of Perche. Wandering through the medieval atmosphere of its streets is a delight.

The first part of the church, a wide and short nave (slate roof) dates from the 11th century. It shows a device marked by the use of russet and monolithic arch bays characteristic of the beginning of the 11th century. During the Renaissance a new choir was built and the Romanesque bell tower was raised. The nave received new windows, the main portal was rebuilt and the elevation of the stone bell tower began on the left annex. The interior of the church was restored in the 1990s by the Cormes Heritage Committee.
