In the church of Canville la Roque, the fresco recounting the legend of the “hanged man” bears witness to the time when pilgrims from Santiago de Compostela traveled along the Côte des Isles.

On Mount Besneville are three old mills. One of them was used as a chapel after the Second World War, it is surmounted by a large crucifix. The second mill has an orientation table at its top, while the third is in ruins.

Canville-la-Rocque is a charming little village in the Cotentin. Its church dating from the end of the 15th century houses murals depicting the legend of the "Hanged Dependent" which traces the adventure of three German pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela.

The mill is currently closed to walk through. Careful, there are adders there. Otherwise the round is easy to walk on

The old guardhouse, built on Mont Doville during the Ancien Régime, served as a military camp. The building has been a listed building since 1992.
