Cycling around Portbail Harbour is a delightful experience, combining picturesque coastal views with a rich maritime history. The church spire and shipwrecks provide a magical experience as you pass along the Route de la Plage.

Very nice little hike: the sea, Le Havre, the dunes (and larks like never before).

Whether in Brittany or Normandy, the tidal coefficients are very high. The landscape changes very quickly. At Portbail harbour, certain places can only be used at low tide.

The Lindbergh Plage Paysage de dunes is a magnificent area of sand dunes and marshes, named after the famous aviator Charles Lindbergh who flew over it in 19271. You can admire the sea, the Olonde River, the port of Portbail and the Channel Islands. You will also be able to observe a variety of wildlife, such as bank swallows, Belon shelducks and wheatears.

The pedestrian bridge is quite “sporty”, especially with “oncoming traffic”!
