Do you know what relationship there is between the creation of the temple of Athis de l'Orne, its ancient Protestant school and Guernsey? The Hardy family ceded part of the land already named “the woods of Athis” to the Protestant parish on May 8, 1863 and the house for the future school on July 30, 1880. However, where could we find the funds to build this temple? The parish sells the old temples: les Aulnays (Athis) and la Rivière (Ste Honorine), the parishioners participate and Pastor Jean Giraud takes charge of going to Guernsey to find enough to complete the financing.
