Marsh Birdwatching

From here you have a beautiful view of the Marais du Grand-Hazé, the largest marshy area in the Orne. It is labeled Sensitive Natural Space and can be visited on foot via a 7 km signposted loop.

It is the largest marsh in the Orne with 200 hectares. It is a real treasure trove for fauna and flora, where nearly 170 different species of birds use it as a breeding site. The best thing is to meet the staff who maintain the marsh: Camargue horses and Scottish cattle!

Old mill in the hollow of the Orne gorges ... you can have a drink there, on certain days, in a peaceful setting.

Saint-Aubert-sur-Orne was for centuries a dependency of the St-Etienne Abbey of Caen.
