A beautiful gorge where it stays relatively cool on hot days. The GR54 trails through the gorge are easily accessible. The water is easily accessible, although swimming is not recommended due to a dam upstream that opens periodically.

The Col de Maronne peaks at 1,697 meters above Auris-en-Oisans. It provides access to Huez and Alpe d'Huez.

From Auris-en-Oisans, the Sûres cable car climbs to a superb plateau at an altitude of over 1,800 meters. On a clear day, the views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular.

Thanks to the paths and trails that follow the course of the Sarenne, it is possible to hike as close as possible to the river bed. To add height to your hike and see the gorges from above, you can make a loop by climbing to the Signal de l'Homme.

In this area the path becomes increasingly narrow and partly leads directly along the edge of the cliff.
