The Monument au 4e régiment de Dragons is a monument in memory of the soldiers of the 4e Régiment des Dragons who died on 22 and 23 May 1940 during the Second World War. The monument is located in Mont-Saint-Éloi, a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The same regiment fought on Dutch soil in May 1940. On 12 and 13 May they were involved in intense fighting in North Brabant, including at the Moerdijk. They then withdrew via Belgium. The monument commemorates the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of their country and is an important reminder of the horrors of war.

The two towers of Mont-Saint-Éloi dominate the Arras region. They can be seen from afar. They shape the landscape of the Artois plains. They are a landmark for those walking in the surrounding area. Located on a hill seven kilometers northwest of Arras, the two towers of Mont-Saint-Éloi are the monumental remains of an abbey with a thousand-year history. Listed as a historical monument since 1921 and owned by the Pas-de-Calais Department since 2008, the two towers are the subject of a scientific and cultural project to raise awareness and promote their heritage. Between 2010 and 2015, the Department carried out restoration work, and its archaeology department conducted six excavations.

The Somme. One of the most thought-provoking areas in Europe. It seem that at almost every turn, there is a cemetery for the fallen of both world wars.
