The climb up the many stairs is strenuous and quickly becomes an ordeal for untrained hikers; the view along the way and at the top is magnificent.

An amazing view across the valley and to Aoraki. Quite challenging, but totally worth it. My phone sadly didn't gather any height information, but just consider the track to be one long flight of stairs. It's useful to check the weather beforehand. We got a good information about it by calling the visitor center.
