University Lake is one of six lakes on the LSU campus. It is a popular spot for various recreation activities such as walking, jogging, and cycling.

The lake is regularly stocked with fish, so you can often catch trout in the cooler months and catfish during the summer. You'll see people fishing from the banks, as motorized boats are not allowed, keeping the water calm and quiet. Just remember that you'll need a Louisiana fishing license.

Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 is located in New Orleans' Garden District and was established in 1833. On a single block, there are approximately 1,100 family plots, many of which have been used for generations. The cemetery is known for its dense development, clearly structured pathways, and some of the elaborately designed gravesites. The site has been used as a filming location several times: scenes for Interview with the Vampire, Double Jeopardy, The Originals, and Dracula 2000, among others, were shot here.

The Moon Walk is a 3,500-foot long riverfront walk that stretches from Governor Nicholls Street Wharf upriver to the Aquarium of the Americas. There are great views of the Mississippi River and the river boats that are docked along the promenade.

The Audubon Aquarium is a large aquarium that originally opened in 1990 and is constantly voted as one of the best in the country. The aquarium has a wide range of exhibitions, including a Caribbean reef exhibit and an Amazon exhibit.
