Opened in late 2022, Parker-Haun Park—formerly River District Park—sits along the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa. The space features open lawns, a riverside plaza, an outdoor stage, and vibrant lighting. It quickly became a favorite for community gatherings. Named in honor of the Parker and Haun families, longtime supporters of local education and the Saban Center.

Nice easy ride

This large iron sign denotes the beginning of Birmingham's beloved Rotary Trail. The creation of the Rotary Trail transformed a vacant railway right-of-way into a paved four-block walking and biking path with water features and landscaping, along with beautiful views of the city's skyline.

From the Catman Trail this is a great view point of Little Lake and the grass lands right next to the water.

While Middle Lake may not be as expansive as its neighboring Lake Shelby, it offers a more intimate and secluded experience for visitors seeking a quiet retreat within the park.

Replica of old mill built by the famous Robert Jemison, Jr. The mill was built in 1927. It is not currently an active mill, but you can access it from the road.

This is an interesting museum inside a modernist building with changing exhibition galleries, a café, store, and extensive grounds featuring landscaped walking paths adorned with sculptures. Admission to the museum is free, so it is worth a stop if you have time for a break.
