Near Ostabat, the Gibraltar Stele marks the spot where the three great routes to Santiago meet.

Ostabat, this beautiful Basque village is located within beautiful hills. From Ostabat, there is only one way that goes over the Roncesvalles pass and follows the Camino Francès to Compostela.

In the small hamlet of Gibraltar, a special cross stone marks the point where the Camino from Tours, Vezelay and Le Puy meet. From here they continue together.

The GR65 and the Great Crossing of the Basque Country by mountain bike pass right next to the chapel of Soyarza. The ascent and descent are both steep and rocky. But you will be rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view at an altitude of 290 meters.
